Each year, during April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month and the CASA Program hosts its annual Light of Hope Ceremony. The purpose of the Light of Hope Ceremony is bring attention to the need for more CASA volunteers to advocate on behalf of the nearly 3500 children who are under the supervision of Family Court in Las Vegas.
Judges, volunteers, community leaders and youth who aged out of the system will join the lighting of ceremonial candles (electronic variety), and speak about the impact that one individual can make in the life of an abused and neglected child.
